Getting Started #4: How your Pins get discovered

Pinterest for Business

Hi CCSB!

Many of the Pins people find useful or interesting come from businesses like yours. Today, you'll learn exactly where people discover your Pins in the first place.

People can find Pins from:

The Home feed
When people first log in to Pinterest, the first thing they see is their home feed- which shows the latest Pins from people, businesses and boards they follow. They also see a few recommended Pins inspired by their interests and activity.

Repins
When someone saves something, that Pin is shown to their followers. The average Pin is saved 11 times, which means the number of people who actually see your Pins is far greater than the number of followers you have.

Search & Category feeds
Search is another way things are discovered on Pinterest. You can improve your ranking in search results by adding meaningful Pin descriptions and adding Rich Pins. People also get ideas from Pinterest category feeds like Products or DIY & Crafts. We automatically update each feed with the latest Pins in those categories.

Get involved with the community
Follow other people's boards and save, like and comment on Pins that inspire and relate to your business.
